Library Fundraiser - Food, Fun & the Fantastical

• Featured Speaker: Nicole “Cole” Asong Nfonoyim-Hara (she/her)  writer, cultural worker, founder of Griot Arts, For Good: Storywork in Uncertain Times 
  •  Stories are powerful. In her keynote presentation, Nicole Nfonoyim-Hara traces her journey as a reader, writer, and founder of Griot Arts alongside the powerful lineage of Black-owned bookstores—from David Ruggles’ 19th-century abolitionist and feminist bookshop to a new generation of cultural literary spaces. She invites audiences to explore the griot’s call to cultivate imagination, keep stories, make magic, carry light, and help our communities “live through one more darkness with eyes wide open and hearts set alight.”

• For Good Menu: Flying Monkey Wings (chicken leg lollipops), Potato Dauphinoise towers, Prime Rib Bruschetta, Emerald City Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Parmesan Spiked Crostini, Fresh Fruit Display, Grilled and Fresh Vegetables Display, Imported and Domestic Meat & Cheese Display. • Delicious Auction: Five pairs will be auctioned off (3 silent / 2 LIVE) Bid to win!!! Enjoy a gourmet culinary experience with Chef Seth at the Empire Event Center. Five winners, plus their guest, will have the opportunity to hone their culinary skills in the kitchen with Chef Seth, enjoy a dinner with wine, and take home ingredients to recreate a delicious experience for family or friends.
