TravelInternet Only Guest Cards for Visitors

Visitors who do not live in Rochester may obtain a free Internet card good for up to 3 hours of Internet access per day. Adults get the card at the Reference Desk on the second floor, people between 14 and 18 get the card at the Public Service Desk on the first floor and children under 14 get the card at the Children's Desk on first floor.

Minnesota Library Cards from outside of Rochester

If you have a library card from another Minnesota library outside of Rochester, you may register your library card number here and enjoy the full checkout and internet privileges. To register, bring your existing library card, photo ID and address verification to the public service desk on the first floor. See the library card page for more details.

Out-of-State Visitor Library Cards

Out-of-state visitors to Rochester may get a library card for a $1.00 fee per week. With this card, visitors can access the internet (3 hours/day - the same as local residents) and borrow items.
