What is the Bike Share Program?

The Bike Share program is a community collaboration created to help residents and visitors travel around Rochester easier!

The Rochester Public Library has bikes available to borrow for FREE from May-October. 

How do I borrow a bike?

1. Visit the Library with a photo ID 
2. Fill out a waiver to checkout a bike
3. Get your helmet and key
4. Adjust your seat and go!

Who can use the bikes?

  • Adults ages 18+ can borrow a bike with a photo ID or Library card.
  • Youth ages 14-17 may use a bike borrowed by their parent or guardian.

4 bikes: 1 day checkout
4 bikes: 2-7 day checkout
1 eBike: 1-3 day checkout

The eBike is an electric assisted bike with extra cargo space. It is perfect for getting groceries or anytime you need to carry extra cargo!

Can I reserve a bike?

Bikes are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are not available at this time.

Bikes must be returned to the location they were borrowed from. 

Can I borrow multiple bikes for a group ride?
