Childcare Literacy Services
The Rochester Public Library (RPL) is currently accepting applications for the Childcare Literacy Services program. This program features three visits by library staff each year in January, May, and September to checkout and deliver up to 100 librarian curated books and present early literacy storytimes. A limited number of spots will be available for this program. A waiting list will be maintained if demand exceeds capacity.
Please note the following requirements:

A completed application form.
-
Minimum of 10 children enrolled in the childcare program.
-
Preference will be given to low-income serving childcares and preschools.
-
For-profit childcares and preschools are required to have a 50% minimum enrollment of children receiving scholarships or childcare assistance.
-
All materials delivered each visit will be checked out to your agency. When Library staff return for the next scheduled visit, a new curated batch of checked out materials will be delivered and the old materials collected.
-
Agencies are responsible for lost and/or damaged items that are checked out to them.
