    JAC Stringer will speak about the cultural attitudes that affect LGBTQ+ people in the Midwest. He will focus on the ways LGBTQ+ people can make change, and form meaningful networks of resources to survive.

  • Make-N-Take: Kanzashi Flowers

    This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Rochester Public Library.

    We will learn to make three Kanzashi flowers. Use them to decorate the provided pins or hairbands, or take them home to use as you wish! You will cut 5-8 fabric circles and learn two methods to fold and sew together a flower plus one method to fold and glue a flower - no sewing needed on this one! Make as many flowers as you wish. All supplies provided.

    This is an upcycle project. Some of the material used comes from reclaimed and recycled cotton clothing and fabric donations from Friends of the Rochester Public Library.
