  • Writing a Memory Poem
    02/16/2019 @ 2:00pm - 4:00pm Meeting Room C Main Branch

Memories are snapshot photos in an album.  They crop up without introductions, last for a moment, and end without carefully plotted conclusions.

Poetry is the perfect way to hold them up and take a good look.  Poems can deal with the seemingly insignificant and the life-changing huge. It can be difficult to know where to begin.  This class will help you get started and offer encouragement along the way.

Your memories are important.  Because who you were and what you experienced have shaped who you are now.  Because they might strike a resonant chord with someone else.  Because at least one person you know has never dialed a rotary phone, gone to a drive-in movie, or drunk milk straight from the cow.
