TRIANGLE:
Noun
1. a polygon having three sides
2. a percussion instrument consisting of a rod of steel bend into the form of a triangle open at one angle and sounded by striking with a small metal rod.
Up to 24 pieces will be selected for display in the gallery. All ages of artists are welcome to submit artwork. Please be mindful of all ages of viewers. The gallery walls are secured behind glass and located just inside the Youth Services area on the first floor. The show will be juried by Rochester Public Library Youth Services staff. Selections will be made based on relevance to the theme, adherence to technical guidelines (below), artistic merit, craftsmanship, originality, and completeness of the application.
Eligibility
All artists must be residents of Olmsted County at the time of submission. All styles and media will be accepted, but work must be sized within 12” wide x 12” high x 1” deep. Artists are encouraged to pick up a 12” x 12” surface from the Youth Services desk with which to create their art. All submissions must be original works of art. Entries must be submitted in person for consideration. Entries must be delivered to the library one week prior to the start date of the exhibition. Artwork that arrives unframed or unmounted will be hung by the best method determined by staff.
