All you need is a library card to create an account and enjoy Kanopy! Conveniently access using the Kanopy app on your Smart TV or watch on your desktop. RPL is piloting this service for 2026 and then will review options for 2027. Kanopy is available only to Olmsted County residents whose primary library service provider is RPL.
Kanopy Kids
Kanopy Kids promotes empathy, critical thinking, and helps build STEM skills. Enjoy Kanopy’s carefully curated titles from Weston Woods, Sesame Street, Jim Henson Productions, Highlights for Children, Signed Stories, and more! You may set Parental Controls so your children only see videos in the Kanopy Kids section on Kanopy. RPL is piloting this service for 2026 and then will review options for 2027. Kanopy is available only to Olmsted County residents whose primary library service provider is RPL.
Overdrive/Libby
Find ebooks, eAudiobooks, eVideos and more! Read & listen on your computer or download the Libby app for Android & iOS. We continue to evaluate other platforms but at this time do not plan to add Hoopla to our list of service providers. OverDrive/Libby access is limited to SELCO region customers. Kanopy access is limited to those who live in Olmsted County.

The Rochester Public Library has a sharing relationship with the digital collections of SELCO and Traverse Des Sioux Libraries. Visiting users are only able to see and check-out available titles. Holds are not able to be placed on shared collections.
