The library has many options for people who like to get together and discuss good books!
Requesting Multiple Copies of the Same Book for Your Own Book Club
If the library does not have enough copies of a book for your group, we can sometimes request additional copies from other libraries in Minnesota.
To ensure that each member of your group receives a copy in a timely manner, please follow these guidelines:
- Select a title that is at least a year old and does not have a local waiting list.
- Individual book group members may request one copy at mnlink.org using their Rochester Public Library card. (Books can be delivered to the main library or the Bookmobile.)
- If you are requesting a title that RPL owns, please include “For a book club” in the notes field to avoid an automatic denial of the request.
Please note:
- Delivery can take up to two weeks.
- ILLs check out for 28 days and cannot be renewed.
- Multiple requests for the same title on the same library card will be automatically deleted.
These kits contain 10 copies of a book, plus a reading guide.
